Ending factory farming. Ending animal cruelty.

Thank you for taking action for animals!

Can you do one more thing to help end the biggest cause of animal cruelty?

We have already improved the lives of millions of farmed animals. But it takes time, money, and persistence to outlaw cruelty and transform our food system. Will you help end factory farming?

Why is your support so crucial right now?

Farmed animals are suffering.

Most of the 87 billion animals raised for food each year are being caged or crammed in cruel factory farms around the world.

In intensive systems, mother pigs may be imprisoned in narrow crates, unable to move freely, when they are pregnant and when nursing their piglets. They are deprived of almost everything that makes life worth living. Most will never experience the outside world. These animals are exhausted, and their suffering is immense.

You can stop this nightmare by donating now to help end all cruel factory farming practices.

Our wildlife is disappearing.

Factory farming takes animals off the land and packs them into confined spaces such as sheds and feedlots.

The feed for these animals is often grown in vast crop plantations, usually doused in artificial fertilizers and chemical pesticides. Such intensive crop farming leads to the destruction of trees and other habitats and hastens the demise of wildflowers, seeds, insects, birds, bees, and other wildlife.

Since the widespread adoption of factory farming, the world has lost more than two-thirds of its wildlife.

95% of jaguars have disappeared in just 50 years as their habitat is deforested to make way for soya plantations, largely to feed farmed animals.

Our climate is in the danger zone.

On top of driving biodiversity loss and animal extinctions, factory farming plays a massive role in deforestation, desertification, water pollution, and coastal dead zones.

The livestock sector produces more greenhouse gases than the direct emissions of all the world’s planes, trains, and cars put together.

The evidence is clear: Factory farming is a cruel and broken system that needs to stop.

Together we can end factory farming

You can make a big difference.

Compassion in World Farming, funded by our amazing supporters, has been leading a coalition of 170 organizations to support our "End the Cage Age" campaign. Our European Citizens' Initiative was signed by almost 1.4 million individuals. As a result, the European Commission has committed to end caged farming across its 27 member countries by 2027.

This is a historic achievement. And, together, we can go even further.

Global leaders have the power to reform our food system. But we need brave and determined people, just like you, to convince them to act now.

Our vision is a world where farmed animals are treated with compassion and respect.
